GDS Wealth Management recently held their 2023 annual client event, and it was a resounding success. More than four hundred clients attended and had a great time listening to live music from Marlow Rosado, a Grammy award-winning artist. Clients also had the privilege of meeting and speaking with Dr. Jorge Valdes, who shared his story of transformation from being a member of one of the world's most powerful cartels to finding redemption. GDS Wealth Management is grateful to everyone who attended and made the event so memorable.

Robert O’Neill, one of the most highly decorated combat veterans of our time and author of the New York Times best-selling memoir, The Operator: Firing the Shots That Killed Osama Bin Laden, spoke at our fourth annual client event. More than four hundred clients attended and enjoyed the honor of meeting and conversing with Robert O’Neill. It was a fun-filled evening of live music, fantastic barbecue, armadillo racing, mechanical bull riding, and much more at Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound, TX. Everyone had a boot-scootin’ good time!

Mike Eli, the lead singer of the Eli Young Band, started the band with James Young when they were both attending the University of North Texas. The group started gaining local momentum in 2003 when they opened for Miranda Lambert. They have since been nominated for a host of awards, including the Academy of Country Music Award accolade, Song of the Year, for “Crazy Girl.” They were also nominated at the Grammys for Best Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song. Luke Dick is a Nashville-based songwriter who has written songs for the likes of Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Dierks Bentley. About 300 of our clients enjoyed a memorable evening at the Omni Frisco Hotel with dinner and musical performances by Mike Eli and Luke Dick.

In times of social distancing, we wanted to create a unique event to safely show our appreciation to our clients. Master Sommelier, Ian Cauble, and Sommelier, David Lynch brought their knowledge and love of wine to our screens for a fantastic virtual wine tasting. Ian is one of only 274 Master Sommeliers worldwide who have passed the notoriously difficult exam since 1969 and has won numerous awards over the course of his career. David is an award-winning author of two books on Italian wine and has won James Beard awards in two separate fields: Journalism and Wine Service in restaurants. Together, the two created an unforgettable evening of virtual wine tasting for our clients.
