What’s going on at GDS - October 2024

October marks the beginning of the final quarter of the year, and here at GDS Wealth Management, we are super excited to see what the rest of the year holds! We had an eventful month—and we know that the fast-approaching holidays will bring with them even more busyness and fun-filled events.

Speaking of events, we have been hard at work this month planning two events that are open to the community. The first, held on Nov. 12, is a virtual webinar featuring Eric O’Neill. O’Neill is a legendary FBI operative who will be sharing his insights on cybersecurity threats and the dark web from 7:00 – 7:45p.m. We will also host an in-person community event at our office on Nov. 20. Here, you and your family can have your Christmas photos taken with Santa, his reindeer, and stilt walkers! It will be a real winter wonderland, and we look forward to welcoming you and our friends in the local community. For more information about either of these events, please visit our events page.

In addition to the events we host, we are always looking for more ways to get involved in our community. This month, some of our team members participated in a 5K run here in Lakeside. The 7^th Annual Family Fun Day benefitted Ally’s Wish, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fulfilling the last wishes of young, terminally ill mothers. Our company co-sponsored this community event; we were glad to be able to give back to such a meaningful event and it was fun to see so many friends at the race.

October was also a month of celebration—one of our cofounders, Robert Casey, celebrated his birthday. One of the many things that makes our company so special is the dedicated and involved leadership of our founders. We look forward to many more years of working with Robert!  

We also celebrated Certification Nation Day in honor of our continued certification through Great Place to Work US. It’s an honor to be recognized as a great place to work! We all truly enjoy what we do, and we are so thankful for your continued partnership. Our fabulous clients make our work worthwhile—thank you for your trust in us!
