November was an exciting one for our GDS team! As DFW welcomed its first 40-degree day and the arrival of chilly fall weather, we celebrated our team members, partnered with our community, and reflected on the upcoming holiday season.

Part of what makes our team so special is the people we work with. It is always a great day when we have the opportunity to celebrate the hard work that GDS employees do, and this month, we honored two exemplary employees for their service and dedication during the third quarter. Aimee Carmichael, one of our Marketing Associates, and Alex Schremmer, one of our Financial Planners, both won awards for their diligent efforts to serve our clients and the company as a whole. Congrats, Aimee and Alex! We are thankful for all that you do.

This month, we hosted two exciting events for our community and a small event for our clients! Eric O’Neill, a renowned FBI operative, spoke over Zoom to almost 300 attendees. He shared stories from his decades of experience as a cybersecurity expert and offered guests tips to protect themselves against cyber threats and fraud. If you missed the event, no worries! Until December 12, you can watch the recording here. We have also partnered with Eric to create a resource list, which you can access here. Especially in this modern day and age, it’s incredibly important to be aware of potential threats to your personal information. We hope you take advantage of this information and use it to help protect your and your family’s information. Our team is committed to providing you with relevant and helpful services to offer you peace of mind in all areas of your financial wellbeing. To learn more about other services we offer, read about our ClearMatch and EverSafe partnerships here.

We were also thrilled to host an in-person event at our office in Flower Mound. Old friends and new friends alike joined us for a Christmas photo opportunity. Santa and his reindeer were all here, and we even had Christmas stilt walkers too! It was great to see so many happy faces as we welcomed the beginning of this holiday season.

With the holidays upon us, you might be thinking of all the baking you have to do. We’re here to help with that, too! We hosted two sourdough workshops for clients; they were very fun evenings and great opportunities for our financial planners to spend some one-on-one time with clients. We look forward to offering more of these events in the future.

November wrapped up with a celebration of Thanksgiving. As we spent time with our loved ones, we also reflected on how grateful we are for you, our clients. You are one of our biggest blessings, and we are so tremendously thankful to partner with you on your financial journeys. Thank you for your trust in us.

The final month of 2024 is fast approaching, and we look forward to seeing what it will bring. We hope that you are able to spend lots of time with those you love, and, as always, we hope you know that we are here to support you however we can.
