June has officially come to a close, and here at GDS Wealth Management, we had a very eventful and productive month! Although the summer heat in Texas has certainly come out swinging, we managed to stay cool and hope that you all were able to as well.
This month, we were thrilled to welcome our summer interns. We have six wonderful interns working with our firm this summer, and we are excited to be a part of the beginnings of their careers. It is always a pleasure to work with individuals with such enthusiasm and passion for learning more about this industry. We look forward to being able to serve our clients better through these new partnerships!
We also celebrated Father’s Day this month. It was a joy to honor the men who shaped us into the people we are today. We know that many of our clients are fathers, and we hope that you all had a very special day with the people you love. Thank you for all that you do to provide for your families.
June also marked a first for GDS Wealth Management: we conducted a “Royal Throne” tour. A member of our local church community has a young daughter who is interested in fancy bathrooms. When she asked to visit the restrooms here at our office, our employees went above and beyond to make the event special for her. Our staff members dressed up as Disney characters and made the tour an event to remember! We are very grateful to have coworkers who are always willing to go the extra mile.
Our CEO and CIO, Glen Smith, had a particularly busy month. Industry leaders continually seek his market insights, and he was featured in Yahoo Finance, BNN Bloomberg, and FinTech this month. If you missed this, his interviews are available on our social media pages. They are well worth a watch, especially if you have any questions about the market forecast for the rest of 2024. Glen represents our team well in these national interviews; it is a privilege to have such a respected industry expert leading our team.
On a more personal note, Glen visited Austin with his daughter for the University of Texas’ orientation. It is a special moment, not only for Glen and his family, but also for the many clients who have been a part of GDS Wealth Management’s journey since Glen’s children were young. Glen remarked that this orientation weekend was a vivid reminder of how quickly life goes by and how important loved ones are. It is truly our honor to be able to share in so many of these moments in your lives. Thank you for trusting us with that!
