July kicked off with a bang! Here at GDS, we started the month by celebrating our country’s freedom—a poignant reminder of the importance of freedom in all its forms, including financial freedom. We love what we do, and we are thrilled that we get to be part of our clients’ journeys towards achieving the financial futures of their dreams.
It’s hard to believe, but as June drew to a close, 2024 officially passed its halfway point! In honor of the second quarter ending, we recognized our award-winning employees, Erica Doré and Sebastian Carrillo. We acknowledged both of these talented team members for their contributions to our team’s success. We are lucky to work with such dedicated and hardworking colleagues.
Glen Smith, our CEO and CIO, celebrated a huge milestone this July. He has officially worked in the financial services industry for 20 years now! His decades of expertise have positively impacted each of our team members, and we all feel very lucky to work with such a talented leader. Toward the end of the month, we celebrated National Intern Day to thank all of our interns for their hard work this summer. Our team members wrote each intern a personal note, and we celebrated the interns’ contributions to our company with some delicious cookies. It was a real treat to work with such bright and energetic professionals. We will miss them, but we wish them all the best as they go back to school in August!
July wrapped up with a company favorite: a sourdough workshop. Our team gathered after work to learn all about sourdough and making our own starters. It was a fun evening of team building, sourdough sampling, and hands-on learning. There was no better way to end the month than with a freshly baked loaf of bread!
