Happy New Year from everyone here at GDS Wealth Management! January was a busy month for our team, and we are so excited to see what the rest of 2025 has in store.
As we kicked off the month, we reflected on the opportunities we had to contribute to our local community in 2024. We were glad to be able to support several community organizations, including nonprofits and local schools, by donating nearly $105,000 over the course of the year. In 2025, we plan to continue to give back to our community through both financial donations and the donation of our time. It is always a pleasure to volunteer in the community that has given us so much, and we are excited to further our contributions this year.
We’ve also been busy this month planning for our biggest event of the year. We can’t wait for our upcoming annual client event! This year, we’re hosting a wonderful evening at the iconic Globe Life Field in Arlington. Our clients will have the opportunity to enjoy live music, great food, and fun activities at the home of the 2023 World Series Champs, the Texas Rangers. If you haven’t seen our announcements about the musician lineup, be sure to follow our social media pages for more information! We are really looking forward to celebrating with our clients. We wouldn’t be who we are without you and your support.
It was a great month for our CEO and CIO, Glen Smith, too! He was featured this month in Investor Business Daily and Yahoo! News. Glen cautioned investors against the pitfalls of overdiversification and emphasized the importance of truly understanding what each of your investments entails. It is always exciting to see our team members sharing their expertise!
