December was a busy month for our GDS team! With the holiday season officially upon us, we enjoyed festive celebrations and holiday cheer, and we spent time wrapping up year-end projects and planning for 2025. We wrapped up 2024 on a high note, and we are looking forward to the new year!
Awards and Accolades
We were honored to be recognized as one of D Magazine’s 2024 Top Wealth Managers! To create this list, D Magazine reached out to every wealth management firm and team in Dallas-Fort Worth chapters of the Financial Planning Association, the Investments and Wealth Institute, and the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute. Our team was one of 51 firms selected for this award. We are very grateful to D Magazine for this prestigious honor! It reflects our deep commitment to client service.
Our CEO and CIO, Glen Smith, also had an exciting month. He was quoted in Bloomberg, Barron’s, and Pensions & Investments, where he shared his thoughts on the labor market and forecasted interest rates. If you missed his insights, you can see them here! A Month of Celebrations
Our annual company Christmas dinner, hosted this year at the Rayleigh Underground in Irving, was a wonderful opportunity for our team to connect and reflect on the past year. We had a great time enjoying dinner, giving team member awards, and discussing our company accomplishments and goals for 2025. We have a lot of exciting things in store for our clients next year!
Towards the end of the month, we celebrated Glen’s birthday! We are thankful for his leadership and guidance. If you see him, be sure to wish him a happy birthday. His tireless efforts to support our clients and team are the cornerstone of our company.
